The Hoscote Farm

Hoscote Estate is a secluded 450 acre site in the heart of the Scottish Borders and some of this land is set aside for small scale farming.

The most popular farm animals on the estate are our herd of pedigree highland cattle which have been growing in numbers over the past few years. There are golden, red and black cows in the herd and with the arrival of the bull for a few weeks every season there will no doubt be more calves appearing soon.

Hoscote is also rearing a flock of rare breed sheep called Zwartbles. These elegant black sheep with a distinctive white blaze originate in Holland and have traditionally been reared for both milk and meat production.
