Hoscote Wildlife
Hoscote Estate is set in the heart of the Scottish Borders rural countryside and boasts a host of local indiginous wildlife.
We are very proud of our growing red squirrel population. After many years of dedicated nurturing and in partnership with the local red squirrel conservation project these enchanting creatures are thriving throughout the Hoscote woodland.
The sheltered environment of the walled garden has also proved to be a haven for some rare and beautiful butterflies species.
On your adventures exploring the estate you will also see some more common wildlife such as moles, hedghogs, pheasant, hares and deer.
All the wildlife photography displayed on this page has been provided by a regular guest of Hoscote, Carol Hardy.
